The A.I. & E.T. (Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies) Club at Elon University is designed to foster a community interested in exploring and developing skills in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. It aims to enhance student learning and skill-building in AI, provide access to relevant speakers and events like hackathons, and ensure good relations and cooperation with other campus organizations. Membership is open to all full-time undergraduates in good academic standing, with part-time students requiring approval. The club emphasizes active participation, requiring attendance at meetings and events for voting rights and maintaining good standing.

The governance structure includes a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, each with specific responsibilities ranging from meeting management to financial oversight. Elections are held annually, with a thorough transition plan for new officers. Procedures for removing members or officers are clearly outlined, ensuring accountability.

Meetings are bi-weekly, with special meetings called as needed. Attendance is mandatory for members to stay in good standing, and officers meet separately to prepare. Decision-making requires a quorum of over 50% of members, and voting follows a simple majority rule.

The club eschews standing committees in favor of ad-hoc committees for special projects. Financially, the club is supported by dues, fundraisers approved by the Division of Student Life, and requests for funding from the Student Government Association. An advisor, selected annually from the faculty, provides liaison and advisory support to the club.

The club may affiliate with external organizations provided there is no conflict with its constitution or Elon University policies. Amendments to the bylaws require a two-thirds majority vote, with Robert's Rules of Order as the parliamentary authority.
