Sierra Student Coalition

The Sierra Student Coalition is a student organization based on the national organization The Sierra Club founded by John Muir in 1892. We focus on the same principles of environmental conservation and spreading awareness of intersectional environmental issues. During our meetings we may have a conversation about these topics and provide updates to the group about our upcoming events and activities. These events are sometimes service-orientated but are always fun and provide engagement with our environment.

Some of our favorite events include: 

• Clean ups in the local and surrounding Elon community 
• Service opportunities with the Haw River Assembly
• Pot Luck for the Planet 
• Collaborations with other clubs on campus
• Hiking
• Kayaking
• Sustainable DIYs
