SMART Mentors

The mission statement of the SMART organization is to ease the transition to Elon through supplemental social engagement and academic success programming for incoming first-year students from diverse communities. Students who chose to become a member of SMART will be paired with an upper classmen mentor to received guidance through Peer-to-Peer mentoring as well as faculty and staff advising, enhance their social, academic and leadership experiences, be exposed to campus and greater community resources, develop individual bonds and strengthen a strong sense of bELONging on campus, as well as deepen their understanding of personal identities and the identities of others.
